In 2020, our web design business reached beyond Xi'an.
That year, the projects we took on covered many cities across the country, and a considerable share of them came from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Clients in first-tier cities had more detailed requirements — not just good looks, but also a clear information hierarchy, fast load times, and equally good usability on mobile.
Shifts in Our Client Mix
Among the clients we encountered in 2020, research institutions, listed companies, and leading companies in their industries began to appear. What these clients had in common was this: they had their own brand guidelines and well-defined review processes, and there was almost no room for error in delivery quality.
This in turn pushed us to raise our standards. To handle these requirements, we reworked our design guidelines, delivery checklists, and acceptance procedures from the ground up.
Working with WeiQiDian
Projects like these usually move forward with design and technology in parallel. HOLYPro handled the visual and interaction design, while WeiQiDian handled system implementation and operational stability. With the division of labor clear, our design team could focus on the design itself rather than being distracted by technical details.
What This Year Meant
Growing the business from Xi'an to the whole country didn't come from advertising; it came from the project reputation we had built over the preceding years. This made us more certain than ever: in this industry, doing solid work is the most effective promotion.
