When visitors open an official website, before they actually read the content, the first thing they receive is a visual impression. This impression determines whether they keep reading or simply close the page. The visual identity design of an official website is, in essence, about making the other party remember who you are within a few limited seconds.

A Unified Visual Symbol

The prerequisite for being remembered is repeated and consistent presence. Colors, fonts, graphic elements, and layout style need to be defined around the same brand tone, rather than each page writing its own. There is a common criterion in design: cover the logo and see whether the page can still be recognized as belonging to the same company.

The symbol does not need to be complex. A concise, recognizable image is easier to remember than piled-up details. Colors should correspond to the feeling the brand wants to convey, and the shape should balance simplicity and memorability, remaining clear even at small sizes.

Personalized Expression

Speaking only of functions makes it hard for people to develop identification. Only by expressing the brand's personality and attitude can visitors more easily form the judgment of "what kind of company this is." The personality here can be steady or friendly, but the key is authenticity and consistency with the products and services. Deliberately acting lively in order to appear young will instead make people feel awkward.

Let Visitors Participate

One-way output makes it hard to build stickiness. Visitors can be given room to participate: offering feedback, joining activities, and sharing their own usage scenarios. When users' content is presented, their sense of identification with the brand will be noticeably different. This is also the process of turning visitors from bystanders into participants.

Find Material from Culture

The region, industry, or development history in which a brand is located often hides content that can be told. Combining such cultural elements with modern design language makes it easier to stand on solid ground than creating an image out of thin air. The premise is that the understanding itself must be accurate; using the wrong cultural symbols will backfire.

Treat It as a Long-Term Matter

Image is not something that can be settled with a single redesign. It needs to be adjusted along with the brand's development while maintaining core consistency. Recording each adjustment is itself a form of accumulation—what visitors see is a company that keeps growing.

The visual identity design of an official website is ultimately not about looking good, but about making the right people remember you and be willing to stay a little longer.
