Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic Official Website Development Case Study: Bringing the Classroom into the Pharmacy

At Kangyao, Chinese medicine is more than prescribing herbs and seeing patients—offline clinics, online classes, and hands-on training courses all advance together. Founded in 2009, Kangyao has grown over more than a decade into a specialty Chinese medicine service brand for all age groups, and its official website was designed and developed by the HOLYPro team.

Customers and Tasks

Shanghai Kangyao Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic was founded in 2009. Over more than a decade, it has grown into a service offering that brings together offline TCM outpatient consultation and treatment, online TCM courses, and hands-on training workshops in appropriate TCM techniques, serving people of all ages. We designed and developed its official website, which is bilingual in Chinese and English. The task was to fit its dual identity of "consultation + teaching" into a single site.

Homepage on PC and mobile

First screen: The Order of the Pharmacy

The opening screen is anchored by a real photo of a pharmacy—traditional Chinese medicine cabinets in blue and white fill the entire wall, with the plaque centered, quiet and refined; the original cover image is exactly this interior. A TCM storefront does not need to be piled high with antique styling; a real, tidy pharmacy is the best vote of confidence.

Classroom, Special Topics and Messages

The “Kangyao TCM Hands-on Training Class” presents pediatric tuina course areas with three feature cards, while the “Kangyao China Online Academy” lays out online courses with traditional Chinese-style illustration cards; teaching and clinical practice each take up half of the page; “Leave Them a Message” pairs real doctor photos with a form, and the footer is signed off with a 400 hotline and a Shanghai address.

The Light of the Pharmacy

The hardest part of a traditional Chinese medicine clinic’s official website is avoiding the mystical. We lay out courses, special topics, and outpatient services clearly, so professionalism grows out of order.

With the lights on and the prescriptions ready, people feel at ease.
