Special equipment inspection agency official website construction case: turning expertise into a verifiable checklist

A nationally approved special equipment inspection and testing institution providing valve calibration and repair for marine, petrochemical, and power customers. These customers follow a procurement logic of first checking qualifications, then comparing capabilities, and finally assessing responsiveness—the official website’s task is to prepare answers to all three steps in advance, in both Chinese and English versions.

Customer and Task

Suzhou Valveman Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (Valveman) is a technical service enterprise under Bauman Group focusing on full life-cycle management of industrial valves and pumps. It is a nationally approved special equipment inspection and testing organization, with its plant in Suzhou Industrial Park—1,000 square meters of office and repair workshop, equipped with cranes, machining, welding, assembly, and testing equipment.

Our business is integrated MRO: inspection and calibration, repair and restoration, performance testing, spare parts supply, and modification and replacement. Our customers are equipment managers in industries such as marine and offshore engineering, petrochemicals, power and energy, iron and steel metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals.

The decision-making path of such customers is very fixed: first verify qualifications, then compare capabilities, and finally look at response speed. Therefore, the task of the official website is not to "appear professional," but to present the answers to these three steps in advance—qualifications have verifiable numbers, capabilities are proven by equipment and team, and response is supported by a model (on-site emergency repair + workshop repair). In addition, among the customers are a large number of international shipowners and overseas projects, so the site must be bilingual in Chinese and English.

First screen: two propositions that make clear who we are

The first screen tells our identity with two carousels:

  1. "Valve Full-Lifecycle Technical Service Provider" — an integrated MRO solution covering inspection, repair, testing, spare parts, and retrofitting
  2. "Officially Approved Inspection Agency for Special Equipment" — safety valve calibration, valve repair, standard testing, fully traceable end to end

Below that follows a data strip: certified technical engineers, global customers served, professional intellectual property, product categories. Four numbers cover both "institutional qualifications + business capability" at once.

The first screen does not put product images in the spotlight; it puts a statement of identity. For an inspection agency, the buyer's first question is always "Are you qualified to issue reports?" — and the first screen answers it directly.

Break down services by "the customer's problem," not by "our business."

The site splits its services into three lines, each with its own page:

  • Valve Inspection — online/offline/hot-state safety valve calibration, breather valve testing, general valve inspection and internal leakage testing; the page states the qualification boundaries directly: it holds both online and offline safety valve calibration qualifications, and inspection activities are supervised by the market regulatory authorities
  • Valve Repair — sealing surface grinding, in-depth restoration, online emergency repair, valve plug and seat remanufacturing, OEM-level spare parts replacement
  • Valve Testing — full standard testing for shell strength, sealing, torque, low temperature, fire resistance, micro-leakage and more

The Product Center has five separate categories: complete valve products, valve accessories, testing and calibration equipment, special repair tools, and grinding consumables. Putting "selling products" and "providing services" into one system is this company's true form — it performs calibration and repair, and also supplies calibration benches, grinding tools and similar equipment to peers and customers; the website reflects this faithfully.

The industry solutions page shifts to yet another dimension: marine (including classification society compliance, actuator commissioning, safety valve calibration), LNG/LPG cryogenic storage and transport, dual-fuel systems, petrochemical energy — the same capabilities reorganized by the customer's industry.

Evidence: qualifications, case studies, and over twenty technical articles.

Sites like this are most afraid of having only adjectives. The site's evidence is divided into three layers:

  • Qualification certifications — nationally approved inspection and testing institution qualifications, with item-by-item correspondence to classification society and industry regulatory requirements
  • Project cases — actual projects such as boiler valves, archived by scenario
  • Technical content — the news section continuously updates professional articles: the full process of API 6D inspection and testing, the difference between online and offline calibration of safety valves, a comparison of five detection methods for valve internal leakage, key points for cryogenic valve maintenance, an overview of marine valve inspection standards, common faults of control valves... more than 20 articles, all genuine technical judgments, not company news

The third layer is the heaviest. An inspection organization's professionalism cannot be proven on the first screen, but "whether it can write about the accuracy difference between online calibration and offline calibration" can. These articles also answer the long-tail questions customers ask in search engines—content is customer acquisition.

Add another layer of digitalization: the cloud management system covers business commissioning, process tracking, report issuance, and archive storage. Customers can commission online, check assets, and retrieve electronic reports. "Traceability" is not a slogan; it is a product feature.

Design Notes

Bilingual content is a necessity, not an embellishment. Shipbuilding clients often make procurement decisions overseas; bilingual Chinese-English versions cover both domestic regulatory communication and inquiries from international shipowners.

The first screen establishes identity; inner pages define boundaries. Trust in the inspection industry comes from "knowing what you can and cannot do"—clearly stating the scope of qualifications and regulatory affiliation on inspection pages is far more useful than piling on "world-class" claims.

Use questions as titles for technical articles. "What is the difference between online and offline safety valve calibration?" "How to detect internal valve leakage? Comparison of 5 common methods"—customers search with questions, and the title is the gateway to the answer. In content marketing for industrial product websites, honestly writing questions in titles is more effective than fancy clickbait.

Six major advantages address procurement concerns one by one. Authoritative qualifications, a professional team, excellent equipment, efficient response, digital management, and comprehensive service—each is not a slogan, but is backed by specific facts: F1/F2 certification, multiple sets of high-precision calibration benches, and traceable online process nodes.
